I would like to re-post here in The Information Age a post from one of my pages in a well known Social Media network — it features an article in scientific magazine Science. It is about the recent breakthrough by Google’s venture DeepMind and its impressive Deep Learning and machine intelligence division which promises to become a pivotal moment for artificial intelligence. And maybe iven fot Information Technology broadly.
This is deeply interesting development. I have already seen elsewhere, and confirmed myself after playing some matches, that the game Go is indeed hard, harder to beat your opponent than in Chess. In ancient Japan there were even massive tournments and teams of collective players playing against each other, with games that could stretch to many months with no end in sight… So if a Machine can do this… Awesome!
